The “refurbishment of buildings” gathers ESM that are technical and require direct investment.
This category is specifically dedicated the past interventions on existing buildings.
Global retrofitting (intervention on the shell and on the systems) and punctual interventions on the shell (replacement of the windows, partial insulation…) are considered even if the project focuses on the most recent interventions (less than 5 years old) but also integrating in the scope some older but relevant measures.
The project concentrates its studies on buildings employing central heating. Appropriate actions related the operation & maintenance/management of recently refurbished buildings should enable housing companies to save an extra 3 to 7,5% in energy on this part of the stock.
